I know what it's like to struggle with the MCAT — I scored a 496 on my first practice test. Instead of paying for an expensive prep course, I chose to self-study using online resources, and ended up scoring a 521 on test day. Through that long process, I realized the MCAT isn't really about memorizing endless science facts, it's about learning how to read and understand what a question is actually asking. That's the mindset I bring to tutoring: I want to help my students build the skills to tackle MCAT problems with confidence, and do it more efficiently than I did. In sessions, I focus on breaking down why a problem is worded in a certain way. After developing a strong understanding of basic concepts, I help students work through and review practice questions and exams to understand what exactly the test creators are testing. My goal isn't just to help you understand the material, but to think like the test.
